The Beginning

O encontro entre o engenheiro metalurgista Sidney Pessoa Vieira e o engenheiro mecânico Rogério Geraldo Campelo foi a semente do que é hoje a Terra Norte Metais. No começo dos anos 2000, eles sonharam em levar a experiência em siderurgia e grandes construções para uma empresa de produção de ferro gusa verde e sustentável que fosse referência do setor no norte do país. No ano de 2003, foi inaugurada a Terra Norte Metais em Marabá, Pará, Brasil realizando o objetivo dos engenheiros idealizadores.

The coming together of metallurgical engineer Sidney Pessoa Vieira and mechanical engineer Rogério Geraldo Campelo laid the foundation for what Terra Norte Metais is today. In the early 2000s, they dreamed of taking their experience in steelmaking and large constructions to a green and sustainable pig iron production company that would be a leader in the sector in the north of the country. In 2003, Terra Norte Metais was inaugurated in Marabá, Pará, Brazil, realizing the vision of the founding engineers.

Across Generations

New times and a younger generation taking part in the company, taking on management roles. They offer a refined perspective on governance and quality as well as complementing the technical expertise and rigor of the founders, who oversee production, processes, maintenance, and new projects.

This marks a new outlook: the rebirth of a company with a rich history that guarantees the safety and sustainability of its operations. With this long-term vision, Terra Norte Metais and its dedicated professionals are committed to building a better future day by day.

New Times

In 2020, the founders underwent a corporate restructuring and had the opportunity to return to the operations of Terra Norte Carajás. They reinvested in the venture and, after a period of reforms and licensing, resumed activities in April 2021, leveraging the knowledge and infrastructure accumulated over the years.

Since securing their first pig iron export contract in July 2021, the company has experienced continuous growth, maintaining an integrated approach and staying attuned to the needs of the local community. Alongside ongoing improvement and expansion projects, Terra Norte Metais has made significant contributions to the industry.
